IPL 2017: The Best Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Possible XI To Retain The Title
The ninth season of IPL was one of the best season’s for the champions Sunrisers Hyderabad. the teams who have not big names but this team led by One Men Army David Warner.
Just Talk About auction there was little reason for them to change their winning combination from last year. Unlike other franchises who went for the likes of Ben Stokes, Tymal Mills and other big names, Sunrisers Hyderabad were calculated and strategic during the auction. Less fancied players like Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, and Mohammad Siraj among others were bought by the franchise. Though, SRH spent a whopping amount INR 4.2 crores on Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan and he was their costliest buy. Hyderabad was lucky to get the players like off-spinner Nabi, death overs specialist Chris Jordan for their respective base prices.
The SRH squad doesn’t have too many superstars but they have the quality to match up the other teams in the competition. This gives us an opportunity to analyse the playing XI of Sunrisers Hyderabad for this season of Indian Premier League.

IPL 2017: The Best Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Possible XI To Retain The Title
Here we analyze the best possible XI for the Sunrisers Hyderabad:
Naman Ojha, Eklavya Dwivedi
there are two option available for SRH, obviously Naman Ojha is the first choice for franchise who can played at number 5-6 position as well as but if naman not perform well Srh have a backup like Eklavya Dwivedi.
David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan.
There is no doubt about the David Warner as an opener. He is very destructive as he has so often displayed across all formats of the game and T20 just merits his natural way of batting. Warner was brilliant last season as he scored 848 runs at an impressive average of 60.57 and was third in terms of strike rate only behind Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers. Sunrisers will hope Warner continues his stunning form this year as well to defend the retain title.
Shikhar Dhawan, India’s out of form opener, will partner Warner at the top of the order. Dhawan has not had the best of the seasons at home this year dhawan hasn’t contributed much since his comeback in the domestic circuit. Though, no team could afford to count him down as he aggregated over 500 runs last year in the IPL.
Also this is a great opportunity for Dhawan to get back into the form before ICC Champions Trophy which will commence only 10 days post the completion of the league.
Middle Orders Batsman :-
Kane Williamson, Yuvraj Singh, Deepak Hooda and Naman Ojha
Sunrisers Hyderabad have one of the best no.3 batsman Kane Williamson. New Zealand captain will play an important role in setting up the totals for the side as he will look to hold one end and play through the innings. By no means could Williamson be taken lightly as he has proved his skills in T20s as well. His strike rate of 122.81 in T20Is with an average of around 37 will bode well for Sunrisers in the high-pressure tournament.
Next Big Nmae Is Yuvraj Singh, in his prime form is the most dangerous player on any given day. yuvi will hope to contribute more runs this season though as his returns were mediocre for his side with only 236 runs in 10 matches. if e are talking about This year in the domestic circuit across all the formats he performed like a champion and stormed back into the national side. He also scored a sparkling century in his comeback series against England. His bowling skills will also be important as he is no longer a part-time bowler now. Warner and his team would hope he continues his rich vein of form as Sunrisers look to defend their title.
Deepak Hooda and Naman Ojha make up the middle order of the defending champions. Teams might target this area of Sunrisers may look the weakest but they could become the surprise package. Both of them have shown some good signs coming into the tournament and are having a good run for their sides in Vijay Hazare trophy. Hooda averages 53 so far in six matches whereas Naman Ojha averages around 38 in as many matches. Both of them have the ability to come good in crunch situations as more often than not they will have the responsibility to finish the games.
Moises Henriques, ben cutting Bipul Sharma, mohammad nabi, chris jordan
they have all-rounders like Moises Henriques who might get a game at some stage in the tournament. Even Bipul Sharma, the left-arm orthodox bowler could be crucial if they drop Pravin Tambe or is injured mid-season. how we forgot to mention mohammad nabi and chris jordan name who have great ability to perform well with bat also.
Chris Jordan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ashish Nehra and Mustafizur Rahman
Sunrisers Hyderabad have lots of experience in bowling department which is Srh strongest suit. Chris Jordan, the latest addition to the side is a big plus as he is the death overs specialist. He is also handy with the bat and could provide some late impetus to the innings if needed. Chris could be the key player for Sunrisers this season.
Hyderabad has two of the best Indian bowlers in T20 cricket, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ashish Nehra. Both have huge experience of playing International cricket. Sunrisers would look forward to these two valuable players in the side to put their hands up in critical situations.
and the world class bowler Mustafizur Rahman, one of the best finds for Bangladesh cricket has done wonders already at the highest level. He was instrumental in Sunrisers’ run to the glory last season and will hope to play the same role this year as well. Though he was injured for the major part last year post IPL, he is back once more and playing Test cricket for Bangladesh which proves he is fit. He would be itching to play in this high-profile tournament and contribute to his franchise.
Pravin Tambe, Rashid Khan
Sunrisers were the only franchise who showed the interest in 43-year-old leg-spinner, Pravin Tambe. But this could prove to be a smart pick as the defending champions lacked a quality leg-spinner last season. Pravin Tambe, the lanky bowler also would look to perform as he could not perform to the expectations for his team. Also his role would be very important as he would be the only spinner in the playing eleven.
18 years old afgani spinner Rashid khan also a good choice for Srh Who recently perform very stunning, 18 years younger boy figure against ireland in last two T20 5/3, 3/28
Though, the playing XI looks settled for the defending champions, they have enough backups as well if any player gets injured or does not perform well. There is a possibility that Naman Ojha might open with David Warner if Shikhar Dhawan fails to impress which vactes a lower middle order position and could be filled by young Vijay Shankar.
Also if one of the India pacers is injured, then bowlers like Abhimanyu Mithun and young Mohammad Siraj are available. In case Pravin Tambe fails or conditions allow playing two spinners then Sunrisers might play crafty Afghanistan off-spinner Mohammad Nabi leaving out one of the overseas seamers.
Also they have all-rounders like Moises Henriques who might get a game at some stage in the tournament and Ben Laughlin who is again handy with both bat and ball. Even Bipul Sharma, the left-arm orthodox bowler could be crucial if they drop Pravin Tambe or is injured mid-season.
